In response to the question of whether negotiations with European countries have been suspended, Ismail Baghaei told a presser on Monday: “We cannot say that this process has stopped. At the Istanbul meeting held two weeks ago, the parties agreed to continue these consultations.”
“The only problem is that the time and location for the next round has not yet been decided, but this does not mean that negotiations have stopped.”
He emphasized that Iran is in touch to determine the appropriate time and location for the next meeting.
Regarding the United States, consultations are usually carried out through intermediaries on a variety of issues, but no decisions have been made to negotiate so far, he concluded.
He added that Iran has not approved Norway, which will host indirect consultations with Iran for the next round.
“We don’t trust America. We didn’t trust America when we were negotiating. We basically didn’t even leave zero trust what they did in the middle of the negotiations.”
