Arakichi, who is in Turkey to attend the Islamic Cooperative Organization (OIC) meeting, said on Saturday that the current situation is extremely difficult, but that the solidarity of the Iranian people is very strong and the military has shown a commendable performance for their defensive efforts.
The diplomat also said Iran’s attack on the Israeli regime was based on exercising its legitimate right to self-defense in the face of Israel’s unprovoked attacks.
He commented on the bystanders of the OIC meeting in Istanbul. On arriving in the city on Saturday, Arakich told reporters that although the meeting was planned in advance, special sessions will also be held at Iran’s request.
Israel fought an overnight war on Iran on June 13, assassinating the best military officials and several nuclear scientists on the targeted strike, and killing civilians on the strike in residential areas.
Iranian forces are responding strongly to key Tel Aviv and Haifa targets as Israel continues to attack civilian regions and infrastructure in various parts of Iran.
