Jacinda Ardern, former Prime Minister of New Zealand, has called on “people in power” to take action in the face of the ongoing “genocide” in Gaza.
“There is a way to stop the genocide that is happening every day in front of us. We must recognize the Palestinian state. Cooperation that promotes military action must end. Humanitarian aid must be urgently locked up and hunger must reach urgently.
Ardern joins the growing chorus of international experts, world leaders and organizations who say Israel’s actions in Gaza meet the definition of “genocide” under international law.
But Israel, which has strongly denied the genocide accusations, has even rejected a recent UN report accusing Israel of committing “genocide” in Gaza and calling it a fake.
