Foreign ministers of G7 countries have issued joint, one-sided and undoubtedly unrealistic statements calling for the resumption of negotiations aimed at reaching a comprehensive, verifiable, sustainable agreement on Iran’s nuclear programme.
According to the Qatar-based Al Jazeera media outlet, the G7 statement did not mention Israeli nuclear weapons. Instead, he argued that restarting negotiations could lead to an agreement that would prevent nuclear proliferation and ensure regional stability.
G7 members also welcomed the ceasefire between Iran and Israel and called for continued diplomatic efforts to alleviate tensions.
Furthermore, the G7 Foreign Minister strongly supports Israel’s security and expressed deep concern over the issue, criticizing the statement as a call in Iran for the arrest and execution of IAEA Director Rafael Grossi.
The G7 includes the United States, the UK, France, Germany, Italy, Canada and Japan.
