The Euro-Descendent Human Rights Monitor documented the dangerous policies of the Israeli military’s terror against families in the Gaza Strip, offering a catastrophic and winner’s choice.
What began as individual terrors escalated into systematic, collective practices aimed at dismantling Palestinian social structures by allowing people to betray the community and subordinating survivors to conditions of survival that destroy community identity and resilience.
Pressure has shifted from targeting individuals to systematic coercion that puts the whole family in front of a frightening equation. It is a coordinated attempt to eliminate militias, mass murder, starvation, exile, banishment, or Palestinian society created by Israel, or coordinated attempts to reduce submission under occupational control.
The Euro-Med monitor received shocking testimony from families who were forced to choose whether to remain siege and bombardment without shelter, food and drugs. These testimonies show deliberate policies to break the will of civilians by using fear and destruction as a means of conquest.
Other testimony shows that some Palestinian families were directly pressured to provide security cooperation to Israeli forces in exchange for being allowed to remain in certain areas or receiving basic support. This practice turns humanitarian remedies from unconditional rights into tools of coercion and control, places civilian lives on the forced negotiation table, and strips them of basic protections.
