At least 60 people have died in the last 24 hours, bringing the death toll to 62,004 since the Israeli War that began on October 7, 2023. Another 156,230 people were injured, the Los Angeles Times reported.
The Ministry of Health said 1,965 people died or were killed near distribution sites while seeking assistance from the aid transport convoy. At least seven Palestinians were killed on Monday morning trying to access aid.
The ministry, which does not distinguish between civilians and combatants by their numbers, has medical professionals located there. The United Nations and other independent experts consider the figures the most reliable victim.
Israel disputes the figures but does not provide a unique account of the victims.
The Palestinian Health Ministry said Monday that more than 62,000 Palestinians were killed in the 22-month Gaza War.
