Mohamed Absalmiya, director of Alshifa, the largest hospital in Gaza, announced that fuel reserves have been eliminated and electricity has been completely reduced.
He said key sectors are facing collapse as the profession tightens the siege and denys fuel supply to medical facilities.
“This fuel crisis continues mercilessly,” Abu Salmiya said.
“At any time, the hospital can stop functioning.”
He added that Zionist troops will only allow drops of fuel, an inhumane tactic designed to put the health sector in a permanent crisis. If this lockdown continues, he warns and all units will inevitably shut down.
Abu Salmiya described the hospital’s condition as devastating, and while the intensive care units lacked beds and equipment, more than 50 martyrs and more than 100 injured people were influxed every day.
He emphasized that staff members have no way to manage the overwhelming emergency.
“The health situation throughout Gaza is falling apart,” he said.
