The Palestinian Ministry of Health said at least 67,160 people were killed and injured in Israeli attacks throughout Gaza for the first time since October 2023, according to a previous Al Jazeera report on Monday.
It added that 21 Palestinians have been killed and 96 have been injured in the last 24 hours.
The rise in death toll is because the Israeli regime and delegations from Hamas are set to discuss plans to end the war in Gaza.
According to Al Jazeera’s report, Khalil al-Haiya, the most senior member of Hamas outside of Hamas’ Gaza, who recently survived an Israeli attempt to assassinate Israel in Qatar, will lead the group’s delegation.
After Hamas agreed to certain provisions of the US proposal, the meeting took place, but asked for more negotiations,
The Palestinian movement did not promise one of the key points of Trump’s plan: disarming.
