Hamas said in a statement that the use of the veto to block draft UN Security Council resolutions on Gaza represents Washington’s clear and complete accomplice in Tel Aviv’s crimes against Palestinians in the Gaza Strip.
A resistance movement has also been added, giving the city a green light to continue killing, hunger, criminal and brutal attacks.
Hamas said, “We are grateful to the ten countries that introduced the resolution to the UN Security Council and call on the ministers of Prime Minister Netanyahu, a war criminal, to stop the invasion and continue to put pressure on them and all countries and international organisations to prevent the genocide from continuing in Palestine.”
Earlier on Friday, the US government once again supported the Zionist regime, rejecting a UN Security Council resolution to stop Gaza’s genocide.
Ten (non-permanent) elected members of the UN Security Council had called for the adoption of a resolution highlighting the permanent ceasefire in Gaza and the provision of assistance to the oppressed people in the Gaza Strip.
On June 4, the United States rejected a “immediate, unconditional, and permanent ceasefire” between Israel and Hamas in Gaza and a draft UN Security Council resolution calling for unobstructed humanitarian access to the enclave.
