TEHRAN – The German Foreign Ministry and the German Embassy in Tehran did not respond to inquiries about a Tehran Times report that revealed that Germany had signed a secret deal with Israel and sent troops to occupied territory during the country’s June war against Iran.
The German Foreign Ministry completely ignored the message from the Tehran Times. When asked for comment, a representative from the German embassy said senior diplomats had been informed about the investigation but had not received a response, including whether they would take up the issue.
According to information obtained by the Tehran Times, German forces were involved in Israel’s war effort during the 12-day period in which the Zionist regime targeted Iran’s military, nuclear and civilian infrastructure. Berlin received financial compensation for its involvement but asked Israel to keep its cooperation secret. It is unclear whether Congress (Congress) was aware of this agreement.
Ebrahim Rezaei, spokesman for Iran’s parliamentary foreign policy committee, said: “The fact that the Germans supported the Zionist regime in killing Iranian citizens is not surprising.” “Germany, Britain and France have been on a path of hostility towards the Iranians. The Tehran Times’ revelation that Germany sent troops into the occupied territories during the 12-day war is just another piece of the puzzle.”
Rezaei added that Europeans are willing to comply with whatever the Americans or Israelis ask for, even if it is not in their own interests, as they seek to regain lost relevance on the international stage. “The snapback is another European move taken at the behest of the United States. With the snapback, Europe has lost its position on the Iranian nuclear issue. We will no longer have any nuclear discussions with them.”
The cooperation with Israel marks the second time Berlin has teamed up with a foreign aggressor against Iran. Germany also provided chemical weapons used by Iraq’s Saddam Hussein during his invasion of Iran in the 1980s. During Israel’s recent war in Gaza, which was described as a genocide and claimed the lives of at least 70,000 Palestinians, Germany was one of the regime’s most ardent supporters both militarily and diplomatically.
“The world will never forget that Germany supported Prime Minister Netanyahu and Israel in the murder of thousands of innocent men, women and children,” he said.
