Along with representatives from Russia and China, Leza Najafi, the representative of the United Nations office in Vienna, met with Rafael Grossi, director of the International Atomic Energy Agency.
At the conference, the parties highlighted ongoing cooperation and dialogue to support continued diplomatic efforts (speaking by Iran and the US), and highlighted the opportunity for the International Atomic Energy Agency to play a professional and constructive role in this regard.
Envoys from Iran, Russia and China presented the IAEA chief with joint memos on various aspects of the situation surrounding Iran’s nuclear program.
The third round talks focusing on technical details between Iran and the US will take place indirectly on Saturday and will be mediated by Oman, according to sources.
Sources said Iranian and American experts will be involved in future technical consultations in Muscat to focus on nuclear issues and issues surrounding sanctions.
Experts will discuss the possibility of achieving the agreement, sources said.
“Iranian and American experts will be indirectly involved and technical negotiations will be held along with mediation of Omani experts,” the source added.
Over the past two weeks, representatives from Iran and the US have engaged in two rounds of negotiations in Oman and Italy. Both sides are set to conduct expert-level technical negotiations on April 26th.
