Flights between Tehran-Iran’s northern Iranian Golgan and Kazakhstan’s Aktau will resume after a suspension sparked by regional conflict and security concerns.
Ali Metanath, director of Golestan Airports, said services from Golgan’s airport to Aktau will be run regularly on Tuesday and Friday on Sunday. Business flights on the route will be carried out by Pars Air on August 26th.
Metanut said the number of international flights from Golgan could increase to suit the needs of residents and local business operators. There is also a talk going on about restarting services between Golgan and Istanbul, he added.
Over the past few weeks, several international routes between Iranian airports, including airports run by Turkish airlines, have been restored as air travel in the region.
