Ammar Hakim, leader of the Iraqi People’s Wisdom Movement, said the challenges facing countries and regions must be fully prepared to fulfill our religious and national duties to our people and our nation. We must play our part in wisdom and responsibility in the face of the complexities and dangers surrounding us.
Speaking on Tuesday on the anniversary of Abdul Aziz Hakim’s death, leaders of the Iraqi National Wisdom Movement emphasized that Iraq is stronger than ever, not just because of past experiences, but also because of political and social awareness gained from them.
Referring to the need to support the Iraqi government, Hakim added that our claim to support the government stems from understanding the importance of stability and the reconstruction of the country.
In managing regional crises away from local interference, Hakim emphasized the need for rules and wisdom of reason, away from foreign interference that transformed our region into an area of conflict over competition and interests. He said, “We recognize our situation, our nation’s destiny, and our region’s peace, and we do not need the support of others. There is enough war, crisis and danger in our people’s lives and property. Wars in our region will begin.”
The leader of the Iraqi National Wisdom Movement said that the occupation and reconciliation policies of the Zionist regime pose a threat to the security and peace of our nation. He urged the UN Security Council to stop these harmful actions in the region. This threat will persist as long as the Palestinian issue remains unresolved and the Palestinians are denied their lands and resources.
Hakim said, “We welcome once again the strengthening of good relations between the regional countries, particularly the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. As a model of other Arab and Islamic countries, these countries are transforming them into substantial platforms for the common strategic interests that benefit the nation, government and future discoveries.”
