Palestinian officials told AFP that international mediators told Hamas that they would reopen in Doha, Qatar on Sunday, news television reported.
“The mediators confirmed to Hamas that indirect consultations with Israel will begin in Doha today on Sunday,” the official said.
Israeli public broadcaster Kan reported that the negotiation team was traveling to Qatar for indirect discussions about Gaza’s ceasefire proposal.
“The team set out for Doha to deal with the remaining competition with Hamas,” Kang said.
Previously, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced in a statement that he plans to send a delegation to Qatar for indirect consultations with the Gaza-based group.
However, Netanyahu said it rejected the 60-day ceasefire proposal as a “unacceptable” change requested by Hamas.
The announcement came the day after Hamas responded with a “positive spirit” to Gaza’s ceasefire proposal and said he was ready to enter into consultations on the implementation of the agreement, including exchanges of negotiations with prisoners to end the Israeli regime’s war of massacre over Gaza.
Meanwhile, Israeli forces bombed homes in Gaza city and killed at least 12 people in reports of a ceasefire talks.
Reports from hospitals on the besieged territory said that this was killed all over Gaza the day after the Israeli strike killed at least 42 Palestinians across Gaza, with dozens of deaths identified as seeking assistance.
According to the Gaza Health Ministry, the Israeli war of genocide with Gaza killed at least 57,268 Palestinians, most of whom killed women and children, and injured 135,625 people.
A ceasefire agreement between Israel and Hamas was also reached on January 17th. The agreement came into effect on January 19th.
Israel resumed its genocide war with Gaza on March 18, killing at least 400 people in an overnight attack, crushing a two-month ceasefire with Hamas.
With support from the US, Israel has decided to remove itself from the negotiations for Phase 2 of the ceasefire contract, which will ultimately see the release of all Israeli prisoners of war in Gaza.
