Tehran told the Tehran Times, according to a senior Hamas member, Mohammad Singhwar, who claims Israel is leading the battle against the army in Gaza, is alive and still fights within the besieged territory.
Israel says it assassinated the brothers of Hamas late leader Yahya Singwar, amid a brutal and deadly attack at Gaza Hospital last Tuesday. “This is a false claim that Israel makes to justify the bombing of hospitals. Our brother in Gaza has ensured that Mohammad Singwar is alive and still fighting the enemy firmly,” Osama Hamdan, a member of Hamas Politburo, told the Tehran Times.
The Israeli regime has routinely struck hospitals and other private sites since it began a catastrophic war in Gaza 19 months ago. The stated goal was to “eramination” of Hamas, a Palestinian resistance group that was able to crush Israel’s invincibility during an attack on military status on occupied territory in 2023.
The administration has killed more than 60,000 people, mostly civilians in the past few months, but as Israel’s own officials have admitted many times, it has yet to come close to demolition of Hamas. The administration was able to assassinate Yahya Sinwar by chance last year, despite weeks claiming he was in a hardened tunnel surrounded by Israeli prisoners.
Regarding the Western proposal that Hamas placed arms for “peace,” Hamdan pointed out that while there are no Hamas or Palestinian jihadians in the West Bank fighting the occupation, Palestinians are still being systematically oppressed and abused by Israel.
