“We are ready to cooperate with an initiative aimed at countering the expulsion of people from Gaza and rebuilding the strip without compromising Palestinian rights.
Darwish said Hamas is “working to complete the remaining phases of the ceasefire agreement, leading to a comprehensive and permanent ceasefire, complete withdrawal of Israeli occupation forces from Gaza, reconstruction and lifting the siege.”
He argued that Gaza’s postwar future must be “fully Palestinian, supported by Arab partners, based on national consensus.”
According to Darwish, Hamas is willing to engage in solutions that are unique to Palestine, through the formation of a national unified government made up of Palestinian experts and experts in technology, or through the establishment of a social support committee proposed by Egypt to manage the issue of Gaza under existing Palestinian law.
He rejected “any attempt to impose non-Palestinian administrative agreements or the existence of foreign troops on Gaza.”
