Hamas agreed to the US Middle Eastern Steve Witkov with the proposal that the US Special Envoy had presented for a ceasefire in Gaza.
The proposed agreements include a permanent ceasefire, the withdrawal of Israeli forces, humanitarian assistance, and a committee governing issues of Gaza.
The agreement also includes releasing ten Israeli prisoners and several organizations in exchange for the agreed number of Palestinian aiduteees, and ensuring that the mediators are supported by the terms.
Media reported Hamas on Monday an initial agreement with Witkov’s proposed deal.
Media reports say the debated contracts will see groups of around 10 living hostages and 10 hostages, along with hundreds of Palestinian security prisoners released in two stages during the approximately 10-month ceasefire. Meanwhile, Israel and Hamas negotiate terms for the permanent ceasefire, ensuring that the US will keep Israel at the table. Israel refused to engage in these consultations in a previous contract signed in January and collapsed in March.
