The first news about the negotiations between the Zionist regime and the Palestinian Resistance Movement (Hamas) shows that the fierce resistance of the Gazan population, the resolute stance of Hamas and Palestinian organizations, and the strong support of members of the Resistance Front have convinced Israel that the military defeat of Hamas and control of Gaza is impossible and that it must bid farewell to its unattainable dream.
After two years of defeat in the military, political, economic, international and public arenas, the Zionist regime abandoned its main goals of destroying Hamas and fully occupying Gaza, and called on the United States to bring the negotiating table to life through mediation. After the failed military invasion of Iran, Israel once again urged the United States to act to escape defeat. It is not without reason that President Trump claims that the US attack on Iran has accelerated peace negotiations. Because if the United States and Israel had won the invasion of Iran, they would not have considered the negotiating table and would have continued the same process of militarization against the Palestinian people.
Hamas’ victory on the ground came after a pre-emptive strike on Zionist regime positions during Operation Al-Aqsa Storm, but military support from Palestinian liberation groups such as Islamic Jihad and resistance front members such as Lebanon’s Hezbollah, Yemen’s Ansarullah, and the Iraqi Resistance led to the complete inactivity of active ports such as Eilat and Ashkelon; Economic infrastructure will be seriously damaged.
In contrast, the Zionist regime, powerless on the battlefield and with unwavering support from the United States, launched violent attacks on civilians, massacred children and women, martyred more than 65,000 Palestinians, and became hated by the world. Finally, Israel agreed to withdraw from the Gaza Strip after two years of criminal conduct in the Sharm el-Sheikh negotiations. Through the implementation of this agreement, the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) has successfully released 250 Palestinian prisoners of war and 1,700 Gazans held by Israeli occupation forces since the start of the war, and the first phase of the agreement will release 20 surviving prisoners of the occupation regime.
It is also planned to send 400 aid trucks daily to defenseless Gaza residents, and this number will gradually increase in the next stages. Not only did Hamas not agree to disarm the army, but in a statement issued it emphasized its and other Palestinians’ firm determination to defend the right to self-determination and the formation of an independent Palestinian state.
Overall, the massive resistance of the Palestinian people, the courage and bravery of resistance fighters on the ground, and the comprehensive support of the world’s peoples for the resistance allowed Hamas to come to the negotiating table with authority and defend the resistance’s goals with great bargaining power.
It is now the duty of the international community to continue to protect the Palestinian people and to oblige the Zionist occupiers to fully implement the agreement.
Hamas and the resistance front have won victories in the field and diplomacy, and it is appropriate to honor the memory and names of great martyrs such as Syed Hassan Nasrallah, Yahya Sinwar, and Ismail Haniyeh, who played a key role in sustaining the resistance and defeating the enemy.
