TEHRAN – Handicraft training workshops were held at Yaszi Prison in Kohiruye Boilamad, the state tourism director said.
Speaking on the bystanders of the inauguration ceremony at Yasuji Prison on Saturday, Mojtaba Amir-Hosseini said that it was taken in line with introducing the prisoners to empower them, creating jobs to prepare new opportunities for them, introducing products and selling, and introducing Miras Arrya (CHTN).
He said that holding these workshops will help improve living standards by lowering the rate of return to prison, teaching new skills and building incentive motivation.
Amir-Hosseini explained that female prisoners receive free weaving art at Kilim every year and added that they will receive a skill certificate.
