Ali Fayyaz, member of the Al-Wafa Ramakwama (Loyalty to the Resistance) in the Lebanese Parliament, a member of the Lebanese Hezbollah Resistance Movement, emphasized that “despite Pope Leo XIV’s opposition to the Israeli regime’s repression of Lebanon, Israel’s aggression against Lebanon continues.”
Following the sect’s message to the Pope during his visit to Lebanon, he stressed that the Israeli regime’s aggression against Lebanon continues, despite the Pope’s opposition to the Israeli occupation regime’s repression and aggression against the country.
To this end, a meeting will be held between representatives of Hezbollah and the papal envoy to Lebanon, he said, adding that the papal envoy to Lebanon had previously announced that he would convey Hezbollah’s message to the pope, and that the meeting would be held after the papal visit.
Fayyaz said the Lebanese Hezbollah resistance movement emphasizes the principles of peaceful coexistence of the Lebanese people and unity with the Christian presence in the country.
It added: “We call on the Vatican to support Lebanon in the face of continued attacks and pressure on Lebanon by the Zionist regime.”
