Sheikh Naim Qassem held a comprehensive dialogue with Al-Manar Network to commemorate his first anniversary as Hezbollah Secretary-General.
In his remarks, Qasem said Hezbollah is a vision-based strategic project that addresses people’s concerns and takes a clear stand on all challenges they face.
“It is essential to stand firm when faced with challenges at the social, economic, educational level or even in the form of invasions and land occupations,” he said.
“For us, resistance is a way of life, not something tied to short-term gains that we can once abandon.”
“We will never get tired, and it would be unnatural for us to surrender out of fatigue, because Hezbollah’s path is solid and uninterrupted.”
Sheikh Qassem continued: “Everyone in Hezbollah, including myself, is committed to self-sacrifice, from those on the front lines to the families who have given everything. This dedication means fighting against all odds to achieve our goals.”
Sheikh Qasem added that Hezbollah controlled the fighting through its leadership, advisory committee, fighters and all those involved in this effort. “I am confident in leading Hezbollah, and I am not alone. This group includes its advisory board, leaders, fighters, and those who support Hezbollah.”
Elsewhere in his remarks, Qassem said: “I have chosen not to go to Iran during the 2024 war due to personal ethical considerations and the practical need to manage the fighting on the ground.”
Turning to the war with the Israeli regime, he said that during the fight of the Mighty Warriors, communication and coordination between the Secretary-General and the military leadership was fully maintained.
“Prime Minister Netanyahu’s residence was targeted by accurate intelligence and the ‘Tel Aviv’ bombing was a political decision.”
This is a developing story…
