The attack, which targeted a densely populated area filled with civilians and children, claimed the lives of 13 Palestinian civilians and injured many others. The party described the assault as a brutal act that adds to Israel’s enemies’ long record of crimes and systematic oppression against Palestinians, Lebanese and people across the region, the Almanar TV EN website reported.
The statement emphasized that the bloodshed was not only an attack on Lebanon’s sovereignty, but also a blatant violation of the ceasefire agreement and UN Security Council Resolution 1701, which Israel repeatedly violates with the explicit support and sometimes planning of the US government.
Hezbollah warned that any show of leniency, weakness, or submission by the Lebanese state authorities would only further embolden Israeli aggression and lead to further massacres and violations. The statement stressed that mere reactive measures are insufficient and risk encouraging continued attacks by Israel.
The group called for a resolute and unified national stance against Israeli crimes and called on Lebanon to use all available instruments of power to deter and counter aggression, protect its sovereignty and safeguard its security.
Hezbollah concluded by expressing its deepest condolences to the families of the martyrs, the residents of Ain al-Hilweh, and the Palestinian people, and praying for mercy for the dead and a speedy recovery for the injured.
