BEIRUT – Prior to the uncertain visit of Morgan Ortags, Donald Trump’s deputy envoy to Western Asia, Lebanon’s Nawaf Salam’s anti-resistance position escalated, starting with renaming the day of resistance and liberation as “Day of liberation.” In a statement during an interview with Sky News Arabia, he said “the era of exporting the Iranian revolution is over.”
Nawaf Salam, a Sunni Muslim, appears to be unaware that Islam is not limited to any country and its teachings are not limited to Muslims. He probably doesn’t know that the Shiites of Lebanese are equated with the principles of the Islamic Revolution as they are the real embodiment of the Quran and the true embodiment of Muhammadhan Islam, not others.
Imam Khomeini, founder of the Iranian Revolution, said, “When we say, ‘We must export our revolution,’ the misconceptions we want to occupy should not come to mind. They will wake up the revolution, free from suffering, and those who are resurrected will be resurrected and they will be resurrected to protect their wealth. We strive to ensure that the universal regulations of Islam, and that everyone enjoys prosperity, freedom and independence. ”
Salam probably ignores the core of the values symbolized by the Islamic Revolution support the Sunnis of Palestinians, and that all the hostile pressure and sanctions on Iran support the Palestinians, Sunni Muslims!
However, Salam is also forgotten by the historical fact that it was Lebanon’s Shiites who “exported the revolution” to Iran in the 16th century. It was done by Ali Al Kalaki, a well-known Lebanese jurist who changed Iran from Sufism to Cyeis (the great grandfather of Syed Khamenei).
Even if Iran accepts for discussion that he exported the revolution, when and how? At the height of his weakness, Imam Khomeini “exports” revolutionary security commanders and established a resistance front that defeated Israel, before that he was a US Marine.
In an interview, Salam said “we hope to change the rules of the war-plagued Lebanon political game,” and argued that “the current government has achieved what the previous government has failed to achieve in 10 years.” He said, “What’s important to us is the trust of the people, not the satisfaction of our aides.”
More than two months have passed since the birth of the Nawahsalam government, and his promises remain on paper.
“Salam’s Prime Minister’s statement, pledged to promote reconstruction and remove damage that was destroyed by the (US-led) Israeli invasion, has so far had no indication that he would even take the first step towards reconstruction.
Salam has declared that he is a “peace seeker” but who is he peace with? Do you have an imperialist colonial regime that has not stopped annihilation of the Palestinian people for more than 70 years, launching daily attacks on Lebanon and violating its sovereignty?
On May 25, 2025, almost six months after the ceasefire agreement, Israeli Army Radio reported that the Army’s Northern Command has “begun the process of reorganizing the deployment of the troops to the border with Lebanon.” It was therefore decided to redeploy the “Galilee Division (91st Division) along the entire Lebanese border with occupied Palestine.”
And when Salam, former president of the International Court of Justice, pointed out that Palestinian strength today is not in weapons, but in international recognition and diplomacy, did he not realize that “Israel” is not paying attention to international law and regulations? !
Meanwhile, Ortagus has been leaked through the media, with political dolls tying the US surveillance Den (embassy) in Beirut. Washington is “more stricter and more decisive, and it is about disarming Hezbollah in light of his talk of “arms, reform and peace” in light of reports that he is talking about the new American trilogy.
Ortagus had previously threatened that “the alternative to disarming Hezbollah is a war with Lebanon.”
Contrary to Salam’s position, President Joseph Aung continues to argue that dealing with weapons in possession of resistance should not lead to conflict. This was highly praised by MP Mohammadrad, the head of Hezbollah’s loyalty to the Congressional Resistance Block.
At the press conference, Raad praised Aoun’s objective stance and gentle approach, refusing to respond to Salam’s position “to not lose what remains in our courtesy.”
Nawaf Salam is no stranger to Lebanon’s reality. He has spent the past 15 years outside of Lebanon, and it appears he is influenced by a political family who has played a negative role in Lebanon history.
Salam’s grandfather was involved in the sale of Lake Hula in 1934 (5 x 4 km², extended parallel to the Jordan River on the border with the occupied Syrian Goran Heights) to Jewish institutions.
On the evening of May 23, 2025 amid the brutal Israeli bombing of Lebanon, Salam invited nearly 400 senior officials to attend William Shakespeare’s Hamlet performance. At first glance, Salam himself has not learned from the message of the play.
Due to his greed for power, Hamlet’s father was assassinated by his younger brother Claudius. As a result, the Danish states were shaken, and Norwegian prince Fortenbras took over power, implicitly suggesting that a state built on the basis of rebellion and corruption would inevitably fall and be handed over to foreigners.
In light of American wildness and atrocities, if Hamlet asks the question, “Is that so?”, the answer is inevitably: I am a resistance fighter, or I will be killed, annihilated, lose my dignity and sovereignty, leaving the chronology of history without any notable honorable national achievements.
In light of the results of local governments and mayoral elections, we anticipate the outcomes of future council elections. Next year, Salam will set off without the achievements of a remarkable and honorable nation!
