In a statement on Saturday afternoon, Hezbollah denied involvement in the rocket fires to occupied Palestinian territory from South Lebanon, the Almana TV English website reported.
The Lebanese resistance further stated that it “repeated its commitment to a ceasefire agreement and is standing behind the Lebanese state in tackling this dangerous Zionist escalation against Lebanon.”
“The Israeli enemy’s claims were intended to justify the ongoing attack on Lebanon, which has not stopped since the ceasefire was announced,” Hezbollah’s statement further said.
Israeli enemies launched a series of strikes in South Lebanon after suspicion of the launch of five rockets said to have been intercepted.
Lebanon’s Almanor correspondent reported that two citizens were martyred and three others were injured in an Israeli strike in the southern town of Turin.
Correspondent Almana said Israeli enemies have launched 20 strikes in towns in southern Lebanon.
