Hezbollah Secretary-General Sheikh Naim Qasem congratulated the Palestinian resistance forces on their victory over the Zionist enemy in a televised address on Monday.
“The Israeli enemy has failed to achieve its goals in the Gaza Strip,” he said, adding that “the Israeli regime, in cooperation with the United States, has tried to end the resistance, but has failed.”
“Without the complete complicity of the United States, the Israeli entity would not have lasted a week,” the Hezbollah leader said.
“The objectives behind Operation Al-Aqsa flood have been achieved,” he added.
Sheikh Naim Qasem highly praised the Iranian state and government’s support for the Palestinian resistance.
“The Israeli enemy failed to advance during the ground invasion against Hezbollah,” he said, adding, “The enemy Israeli tried to sow discord among the Lebanese people, but in vain.”
He added: “The resistance gains an advantage over Israel’s enemies through faith, sacrifice and fortitude.”
“The Lebanese resistance agreed to a ceasefire because the Israeli invaders wanted a ceasefire,” Sheikh Qassem said.
A senior Hezbollah official said, “Our enemy Israel has violated the ceasefire more than 1,000 times.”
“The Resistance has been able to accumulate a sustainable deterrent against Israel’s enemies,” he said, reiterating the need for a Resistance to exist in Lebanon to confront Israel’s enemies.
“The enemy, Israel, has colluded with the United States and has not been able to end the resistance,” he continued.
Sheikh Naim Qassem said: “Every village in south Lebanon has become a symbol of resistance against Israel.”
“The resistance will not accept a temporary extension of the ceasefire agreement,” a senior Hezbollah official said.
“The enemy of Israel must withdraw from the occupied areas in southern Lebanon as agreed,” he said.
“The Resistance is blaming the United Nations, the United States and France for the delay in withdrawing from the occupation,” he said.
“The resistance will not accept any justification for the 60-day extension,” the Hezbollah leader stressed.
