Pakistan’s first lady Acepha Bhutto Zardari held a high-level Iranian delegation at the Bilawal House today, highlighting the continued commitment of Pakistan and the Republic of Iran, and highlighting the deepening of bilateral relations and regional cooperation.
The delegation was led by Dr. Reihane Sadat Reisi, daughter of the late President Shahid Ebrahim Raisi. She was accompanied by senior Iranian officials, including Dr. Chage da a Asgali of the Iranian Consulate General. During the meeting, both sides discussed ways to strengthen cooperation, particularly in the areas of healthcare, culture and mutual diplomatic support. The First Lady expressed her gratitude for Iran’s persistent solidarity with Pakistan, highlighting the strong historical and cultural ties that unite the two countries.
“We have valued Iran’s unwavering support for many years. Our countries share brotherhoods based on mutual respect, cultural affinity and sharing aspirations,” Acepha Bhutto Zardari said. She also praised Iran’s advances in healthcare, referring to consistent praise from Dr. Azura Pechoho after visiting Iran’s medical institutions.
Dr. Leshi thanked Pakistan for his continued friendship and support on behalf of Iranian leaders. She extended her message of thanks to President Asif Ali Zardari for the will and solidarity of the sad dol that was shown following the tragic death of her father, President Raisi.
In a moment of shared memory and respect, special prayers and fatehas were offered not only to President Shahid Ebrahim Raisi, but also to Shahid Motarma Benazir Bhutto. The meetings reflect a legacy of leadership, courage and service to their people.
The First Lady recalled the late President Reishi’s historic visit to Pakistan. “When your father visited Pakistan, the warmth and love that people showed reflected the deep respect he commanded. Shaheed will never die.
The conference concluded by reaffirming both countries’ commitment to strengthening relations between the two countries and working together for regional peace, stability and development.
