According to the Al-Masira report, the Committee for Prisoner and Detainee Affairs (CDA) announced that more than 9,100 Palestinian detainees remain in Israeli prisons and detention centers.
The commission said conditions for these prisoners were extremely difficult, citing widespread abuse, systematic repression and denial of medical care by Israeli authorities.
The report highlighted that occupation forces continue to implement policies aimed at destroying the morale of Palestinian detainees through solitary confinement, torture, and deprivation of fundamental rights.
The statement added that several Palestinian prisoners were released in a recent prisoner exchange between Hamas and the Israeli regime, many of whom suffered severe injuries from prolonged torture and ill-treatment during their imprisonment.
