Hundreds of people protested in European cities on Saturday against President Donald Trump and his adviser Elon Musk.
In a city in Frankfurt, Germany, the “Hands Off!” demonstration was organized by the Democrats overseas, the official Democratic organization for American citizens living abroad.
Members of the overseas Democratic group gathered at Frankfurt’s Operanplatz have called for the resignation of the US president, with the placard slogans reading “restoring our personal data,” “The world is tired of bullshit Donald.”
In Berlin, the slogan directed towards the mask reads “Shut up Elon and no one voted for you,” and the dogs were wearing the sign that said “dog against the doge,” referring to the efficiency of the government run by Senior Advisor Musk, a second Trump administration’s initiative to reduce federal spending waste, fraud and abuse.
In Paris’ French capital, around 200, mostly Americans, gathered at the site of Des La Republique to protest Trump. He gave a speech to condemn the president. Protesters are waving flags such as “tyrants of resistance,” “rule of law,” “feminists for freedom, not fascism,” and “saving democracy.” One person sang and played the song Masters of War by Bob Dylan.
Protests against Trump and Musk were also held in other European cities, including London and Lisbon.
In the British capital, hundreds gather at Trafalgar Square to hold signs saying “the embarrassment of proud Americans” and “Wtaf America.” The crowd chanted “Hands Off from Canada,” “Hands Off Greenland,” and “Hands Off Ukraine” as they listened to speeches criticizing Trump.
