The recent report, published by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), has largely been repetitive and exaggerated, Iran’s foreign ministry spokesman Esmael Bhagihai said in a presser on Monday.
“This report was prepared under the influence of certain European countries. The Western states are not pleased to undermine the credibility of international organizations,” he noted.
He added that reviews of Iran’s nuclear program since 1984 clearly indicate that Israeli officials continue to assert that Iran will acquire nuclear weapons within six months. “It’s now over 40 years and these claims have proven unfounded.”
“The assertion that Iran’s peaceful nuclear program is aimed at weaponising is a political excuse used by the Zionist regime to ensure control over US foreign policy in the region. The main concern of the administration is its inability to maintain the hegemonic path it has pursued for decades.”
“The Zionist regime is centered around developing consistent patterns of behavior in the region and promoting continued conflict and war. In many cases, the United States has become a tool to advance the purpose of this regime, intentionally or unwittingly.
