Abbas Aragci made a comment in a video message at the end of his two-day visit to Norway.
Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Aragut said his recent trip to Norway to attend the Oslo Forum was a successful opportunity to present Iranian opinions and engage in important diplomatic discussions.
Araghchi explained that in addition to Iran, the Oslo Forum (annual international dialogue platform), which featured a panel on the future of the Middle East, attended by foreign ministers of Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Oman and Qatar.
He noted that the mere composition of participants informed who the real actors are shaping the future of the region.
Araguchi emphasized that a permanent and just future for the region is impossible without addressing Palestinian rights.
He also confirmed that Iran and the US nuclear talks had attracted considerable attention during the forum.
On the sidelines of the event, Aragut held bilateral and multilateral meetings, including foreign ministers from Oman, Egypt and Saudi Arabia.
He also met Syrian UN envoy, Norwegian Prime Minister and Norwegian Foreign Minister.
“These sideline meetings were just as important as the main session,” he said.
In particular, Araguchi highlighted the meeting with the Saudi foreign minister, saying that both sides have acknowledged a positive arrangement against Iranian pilgrims during their recent Hajj pilgrimage.
Regarding the next round of nuclear talks with the US, Araguchi said it is scheduled for Sunday in Muscat, Oman.
“These negotiations will take place in the shadow of a recently adopted IAEA resolution. This complicates consultations, but we are determined to defend Iran’s rights and nuclear achievements,” he concluded.
