According to a Mehr press, the Wall Street Journal reported on Wednesday that an IAEA spokesperson said it was aware of Iran’s position on halting cooperation and would wait for more official information.
The report also noted that the IAEA still maintains an Iranian team of inspectors.
Iranian President Masuud Pezeshkian has signed a law that “requires the government to halt cooperation with the International Atomic Energy Agency” in accordance with Article 123 of the Constitution of the Islamic Republic of Iran. The bill was passed by the Iranian parliament on June 25, 2025 and approved by the Guardian Council on the same day. The law is now officially passed on to Iran’s atomic energy organization, the Supreme Security Council and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ Ministry of Implementation.
