Tehran – The International Red Cross and Red Crescent Association (IFRC) is proud to work with Hosam El-Shalkavi, director of the IFRC’s Mediterranean and North Africa (MENA) region.
In a message to IRCS Head Pilhossein Koliband, El Sharkawi praised the IRCS’ efforts to provide humanitarian services to those affected and injured by the brutal attacks of the Zionist regime.
“The efforts to provide relief services to those affected by recent wars have been unparalleled. While you are at great risk, you have demonstrated the world the true leadership and management of humanitarian institutions,” the official noted.
“It is a great honor for me to work with you and other members of Iran’s Red Crescent Association,” emphasized El Sharkawi.
The 12-day war imposed on the country by Israel began on June 13th and stopped on June 24th.
About a week ago, Koliband was demonstrated in a letter to the International Community and the Red Cross by urging them to condemn the Zionist regime’s violation of humanitarian law, killing IRCS members and targeting medical centres.
In his letter, Kolivand emphasized the need for moral courage and coordinated efforts, the IRCS website reported.
