Tehran – The Iranian pavilion was awarded the title of Best Booth at Guangzhou International Travel Fair (Citie 2025) on Saturday. The organizers said.
Pavilion was recognized for its use of historical elements, traditional features, design and high visitor turnout, Chtn reported.
At the official ceremony on September 13th, the Deputy Director of City made an honorable mention to Mohammad Hossein Sufi, head of Iran’s pavilion and managing director of Iran’s Tour and Autoville Club. The Sufis said the results reflect the collective efforts of his team.
“Our pavilion has been successful by highlighting aesthetic, cultural and civilized themes and direct interaction with visitors,” Sufi said. “We are pleased that our presence has increased attendance at the fair and created a valuable opportunity to showcase Iran.”
The Iranian pavilion features eight travel agents, handicraft artisans, traditional clothing displays, and an Iranology workshop, making it one of the fair’s most visited sections, according to organizers.
The three-day Guangdong event, which will be held from September 12th to 14th, is considered one of East Asia’s leading tourism exhibitions.
Iran’s participation comes as the country is trying to boost its arrival from China. In 2019, Tehran waived visa requirements for Chinese citizens in order to attract more tourists.
