Anadolu cited local sources to injure around 20 Palestinians early on Friday when illegal Israeli settlers attacked the village of Killet Al-Daba in the southern occupied West Bank.
Palestinian activist Osama al-McMara said dozens of settlers stormed the Masafayatta community southeast of Hebron and attacked the residents with sticks and knives. Victims included elderly people, children and 3 month old infants. The nine were hospitalized with injuries ranging from fractures to stab wounds.
Khillet Al-Daba faces repeated settlers and military raids aimed at banishing its inhabitants. On May 5, Israeli military destroyed 25 homes, agricultural structures and water wells, citing “no license construction.” The village is under the 2022 Israeli court dismantling order and will clear 3,000 dunams for military use.
According to the Palestinian Colonization and Wall Resistance Committee, August alone saw 1,613 violations against Palestinians in the West Bank. Since October 7, 2023, more than 1,000 Palestinians have been killed there.
Last year, the International Court of Justice deemed Israel’s occupation illegal and urged evacuation of all settlements.
