MASHHAD – The closing ceremony of the Visual Arts section of the 22nd Imamreza (AS) International Festival was held in Mashhad on Thursday, recognizing his outstanding artist and contributions to various arts fields.
The event coincided with Imam Ali Reza (AS), the night of the birth of the eighth Shia Imam.
The festival featured a wide range of artworks in photography, calligraphy and graphic design, and was awarded awards to well-known artists in each category.
The photo section was particularly competitive, with prizes being awarded to both professional camerawork and mobile photography.
The festival’s calligraphy segment awards were given across a variety of styles.
In the graphic arts, the ju-degree selected three outstanding works on topics such as fighting internal and external tyranny, fighting moral and cultural deviation, fighting injustice and economic corruption, and discordance against opposition.
Additionally, a special award was awarded to Mikhail Bharati of Khorasan Razabi for his moving and rapid artistic response to Gaza’s recent Zionist atrocities. Three additional works received honorable mentions due to the importance of the Palestinian issue and widespread participation.
The Imam Reza (AS) International Festival is held annually in various states of the country and several other countries.
The festival includes a variety of areas such as articles, theater, scripts, shows, stories, visual arts, books, literary texts, poetry, press, digital works, and radio and television production.
It aims to promote artistic excellence rooted in spiritual and cultural values.
