Iran and the US delegations held talks in Muscat, Oman’s capital, to discuss Iran’s nuclear program.
Iran’s foreign minister said Iran is seeking a “fair agreement” with Washington before talks begin.
“Our intention is to reach an equal and fair and honorable agreement,” according to the Middle Eastern Eye, Abbas Aragci said on Iran’s state television on Saturday.
He said that if they employ the same position, if the “opposite” adopts the “opposite side”, there is a chance to reach a compromise.
Araguchi, who leads the Iranian delegation, was in Muscat on Saturday, held an indirect consultation with the US delegation led by Middle Eastern US envoy Steve Witkov.
On Saturday morning, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araguchi and his Omani counterpart Bador bin Hamad al-Busad al-Busadi were awarded for an indirect consultation arrangement.
Indirect consultations are mediated by Al Busadi.
