Mohammad Barami has called for an opportunity to address past shortcomings at the 29th Iranian International Oil, Gas, Refining and Petrochemical Exhibition to strengthen Iran’s position in the regional energy market.
“An active and targeted participation by competent investors in the oil industry is essential,” Barami said. “Events like this exhibition, which highlights the potential of the industry, can be a major step forward when supported by intensive research and clear priorities.”
He emphasized that upstream investments will increase productivity, add value, expand exports and improve the processing of petroleum products. “The outcome is not only macroeconomic growth, but also better standard of living and public services,” he added.
Bahrami pointed out that investment in oil and gas is not just an economic decision, but a strategic choice to shape a progressive future.
The 29th Iranian International Oil, Gas, Refining and Petrochemical Exhibition was held in Tehran from May 8-11 with the slogan “Oil Industry Investment Guaranteed Economic Growth and Development,” reflecting this year’s strategic priorities. The event focused on investment opportunities, new technologies, the capabilities of domestic companies and partnerships with foreign investors.
This year’s exhibition featured 2,200 national and international companies. In high demand, five new halls were added, expanding the total exhibition space to over 40,000 square meters.
As in the past few years, members of the parliament and various parliamentary committees attended the event, reviewing the results of Iran’s oil and gas industry in person.
