Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Vahid Jalalzadeh met with Azerbaijan’s Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov and discussed bilateral relations in various fields such as energy and transportation.
During the meeting, the two sides also exchanged views on bilateral and multilateral relations and issues of mutual interest.
Mr. Jalalzadeh and Mr. Bayramov emphasized that contacts between the presidents of the two countries are important for the development of friendly relations between Tehran and Baku, including the existing political dialogue and inter-parliamentary relations.
It is worth mentioning that Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian’s visit to the Republic of Azerbaijan this year (starting March 21, 2025) boosted the friendly relations between the two countries.
The two sides also exchanged views on the prospects for cooperation between Tehran and Baku in the fields of politics, economy, trade, energy security, transportation and communications.
