Foreign Ambassador Abbas Aragut and the People’s Republic of China’s Islamic Republic to Iran Kong Peiu have highlighted the development of bilateral relations and reaffirmed their strong commitment to implementing a 25-year cooperation agreement between Iran and China.
Prior to President Pezeshkian’s important visit to China, Kong met with Aragci on Monday to discuss the latest development of bilateral relations within the framework of a comprehensive cooperation programme, as well as important issues regarding regional and international cooperation between Tehran and Beijing.
Referring to the increase in employment between Iran and China, Araguchi highlighted both sides’ firm determination to expand ties and seriously implement the 25-year cooperation agreement.
He highlighted Iran’s commitment to increasing all possibilities to strengthen bilateral relations with China.
Araguchi welcomed China’s constructive stance on regional and international development, highlighting the strengthening of consultations to counter unilateral and bullying approaches in the international sector.
He said President Pezeschkian’s future visit to China would mark a turning point in further developing bilateral relations.
Meanwhile, Kong praised Iran and China’s strong ties.
Both sides also reviewed the latest developments on Iran’s nuclear issue and the importance of China’s continued constructive role in this regard.
