In a meeting with the Prime Minister’s special aide on Pakistan’s national heritage and culture, Salehi Amiri, a bystander at a meeting of D-8 tourism ministers in Cairo, said Iran is the second home of Pakistanis.
“We have mobilized the border to promote the movement of Pakistan pilgrims. Facilities including accommodation and restaurants have been set up at the intersection of the Mirjabe and Lindang border,” he added.
Emphasizing the deep cultural, religious and historical commonalities between the two countries, Amiri added, “The more relations between the two countries are strengthened in the religious, natural and sea-based desert tourism sector, the better it will be for both countries’ interests.”
Referring to Iran’s ample possibilities in the field of tourism, he said Iran is the only country in the world with all 20 types of tourism. From cultural heritage sites to nature tourism, marine, desert and forest tourism with over a million registered historic works, to even spiritual tourism.
Huzaifa Rehman, the Prime Minister’s special assistant on National Heritage and Culture, emphasized that his country is extremely important in strengthening relations with Iran in all areas, especially in the field of tourism.
