Referring to the destructive role of the Zionist regime in disrupting peace and security in the region, President Masuud Pezeschkian said it is a hegemonic system project aimed at weakening, occupying and looting the country’s resources.
During a meeting with Abdul Amir al-Shamari inside Iraq in Tehran on Tuesday, President Pezeshkian said Iran and Iraq must unite against such a common enemy, support each other and avoid division.
The president further described the relationship between the two neighbouring countries as being based on brothers and deep religious and cultural ties.
“We consider the Iraqi government and other Islamic countries as brothers and will continue to strive to strengthen the unity, unity and brotherhood of the Islamic community,” he added.
President Pezeshkian expressed his gratitude for the people’s hospitality to the Iraqi government and Iranian pilgrims during Aaaain’s pilgrimage.
He expressed his hope that coordination between the two countries to promote Aaaain rituals will be a turning point for cooperation in other areas, such as revitalizing border markets, co-investment and academic exchanges.
On his side, the Iraqi minister gave a warm greeting to President Pezeshkian from Prime Minister Iraqi Mohammed Siah Al Sudani, congratulated the Iranian people on their resistance to the Zionist enemies.
He detailed the Iraqi government’s efforts to provide the necessary facilities to host millions of pilgrims during Albaini’s pilgrimage, particularly in the areas of transportation, healthcare and security.
Al Shamali said the Iraqi government has used all of this ability to hold the religious ritual beautifully, and these actions and adjustments will continue until the last pilgrim leaves the country.
