Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Aragut met his Omani counterpart on Friday night about the bystanders of an extraordinary session of the Foreign Minister of Islamic Cooperative Organizations (OIC) in Jeddah.
During the meeting, the two discussed and exchanged opinions on bilateral relations and the latest status of regional development.
Referring to Iran’s deep-rooted ties with Oman, the Iranian foreign minister said, “Iran’s Islamic Republic will not impose any restrictions on expanding ties with Oman and are ready to deepen relations in all areas of interest to both countries.”
Referring to the development of the region, Aragut saw Gaza as holding a meeting of Islamic cooperation ministers from the Islamic world against colonialist conspiracy to destroy Palestine.
He also called on the international community to take action to stop Gaza’s genocide and help rebuild the strip.
The Omani Foreign Minister recalled the value and importance of good relations between Oman and Iran and highlighted the decision of the Omani leader to promote bilateral relations in all areas of interest to both countries.
He also expressed his gratitude to the Islamic Republic of Iran for concern over the Palestinian issue, highlighting the need for consensus and cooperation between regional countries and the Islamic world to achieve the legitimate rights of the Palestinians and prevent forced displacement of the Gaza people.
