The remarks came at a Sunday meeting in Riyadh between Syrian Iranian envoy Mohammad Reza Rauf Sheevani and Saudi Arabian deputy minister Saudi al-Sati, who dealt with the evolving situation in Syria and the wider impact of the regional Israeli airstrike.
Sheibani repeatedly held firm support for Iran’s Syrian unity and sovereignty, denounced the Israeli regime’s attacks as destructive and destabilizing. He emphasized that such actions undermined local stability and violated international norms.
On his part, al-Sati repeated feelings, confirming Saudi Arabia’s consistent attitude in supporting Syrian territorial integrity, peace and stability.
He condemned the regime’s attacks on Syrian territory, underscoring the need to comply with international law and respect national sovereignty around the world.
Both sides agreed with the importance of ongoing consultations on regional development and emphasized the need for collaboration to address ongoing challenges.
The meeting was part of Sheibani’s ongoing regional consultations, which included discussions with officials from Russia, Qatar and the United Arab Emirates.
It follows Saudi Defense Minister Prince Khalid bin Salman’s recent trip to Iran as it strengthened national consultations on regional issues.

The accusations filed by Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmaeil Baqaei, therefore pointed out that the atrocities are therefore carried out in line with Tel Aviv’s pursuit of malicious interests in the region.
The United Nations has also expressed concern over the aggression.
On Sunday, Syrian UN envoy, Gaia Pedersen, condemned the regime’s violation of Syria’s sovereignty, called for an immediate halt of airstrikes, and respected international law and the integrity of Syrian territorial territories.

Already leading a ferocious armed campaign against the country, HTS was able to overrun the country in December last year.
