Tehran -Tehran and Dushanbe have reached a two -country agreement to abandon visa requirements for air travel between the two capitals, according to a statement from the Iranian Embassy in Tajikistan.
A new policy approved by the Iranian Cabinet will be implemented on February 3, 2025 (15th Bahman 1403).
This allows Iran and Tajikistan citizens to move between Tehran and Dushanbe without a visa because they have a normal passport. Travelers can stay up to 30 days within 90 days.
This initiative aims to strengthen the relationship between diplomacy, culture, and economy between the two countries and to promote exchanges between people and people.
Earlier this month, Iran’s Minister of Tourism, Lesa Salehi Amile, announced a wide range of plans to strengthen his relationship with Tajikistan in sightseeing, trade and cultural collaboration. He made a statement from the Iranian Chamber of Commerce and Industry while dispatching a commercial delegation to Tajikistan. In addition, he has announced plans to attract more Tajik tourists by the Islamic Republic. “Currently, about 8,000 Tajiku citizens visit Iran every year, but plans to increase this number to 100,000 visitors are underway … The development of sightseeing is only to strengthen cultural connections.
