Tehran – Iran and Tajikistan should be pioneering the integration of the Persian-speaking world as two wings of Persian culture, said Hojatra Ayubi, head of the International Affairs Centre at the Ministry of Tourism.
In a meeting with Tajikistan’s Minister of Culture, Mattolbajon Satrillon, both sides, who are bystanders of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), culture ministers’ gathering, highlighted the undecomposed cultural and civilized ties between the two countries, rooted in a joint history, language and thinking, Irna reported.
Ayubi pointed to the incredible status of Persian in both countries, highlighting the formation and strengthening of the union of Persian and culture.
He states: “Just as Turkish-speaking countries have established extensive cooperation in the form of joint cultural unions, it is appropriate for Iran and Tajikistan to rely on shared treasures to create sustainable structures for cultural, scientific and civilised convergence.”
Tajikistan’s Iranian ambassador Zohidi nizomiddin shamsiddinzoda said last May that the bond of love and sympathy between Iran and Tajikistan is currently at the highest level.
He told CHTN that a new season began with mutual bonds after Iranian President Masuud Pezeshkian visited Dushanbe.
Emphasizing the depth of historical and cultural ties between the two countries, the ambassador said Tehran-Duchampbe’s connections are rooted in shared history and cultural heritage.
From the distant past to the present, these relationships continue, adding, “currently, “We are taking measures in line with the development of cultural, economic and social cooperation.”
He recalled that Iran was one of the first countries to recognize Tajikistan’s independence. “It is a matter of pride for us that the first foreign ambassador to present his qualification in Dushanbe was representative of the Islamic Republic of Iran.”
