Iran and Tajikistan are set to strengthen their aviation partnership through a newly signed cooperation agreement aimed at strengthening technical, operational and training cooperation across the industry.
During his visit to the Republic of Tajikistan, Hossein Pourfarzaneh, Director-General of the Civil Aviation Organization of Iran (CAO), formalized an agreement aimed at leveraging the capabilities of both countries in aircraft maintenance, airport services, aviation operations support, specialized training, and the exchange of technical expertise.
Pourfarzaneh, who is also Deputy Minister of Roads and Urban Development, held separate meetings with executives from Tajikistan’s major airlines, including Tajikistan Airways and Somon Airlines.
The Deputy Minister of Roads of Iran highlighted Iran’s rich capabilities in the field of aviation and offered practical solutions tailored to Tajikistan’s needs.
Mr. Pourfarzaneh also emphasized the value of leveraging shared capabilities to expand bilateral and transit air operations between the two countries.
