Iranian President Maud Pezeschkian and his Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdogan had a telephone conversation in which both leaders expressed their desire to meet in person to discuss mutual interests.
In a call on Saturday, President Pezeschkian congratulated Erdogan on the arrival of Eid Al Fitr, who marks the end of the fasting month of Ramadan. The Iranian president also thanked him for extending and reaching out his best wishes for this important Islamic holiday.
Pezeschkian said, “I hope that Muslim Turkiye and all Muslims around the world will benefit from this great holiday blessing.”
He also expressed optimism about future conferences, highlighting the importance of deepening and strengthening relations, and addressing regional and international development.
On his side, President Erdogan congratulated Pezeshkian and the Iranian people to Eid al-Fitr and urged them to convey their blessings to the leaders of the Islamic Revolution.
Erdogan highlighted the future joint economic committee of Iranian-Churkiye, noting that it provides an opportunity to discuss mutual, regional and international issues in greater detail.
