“The negotiations with the US were held in a much more serious atmosphere than before,” Araguchi said.
He said “consultations for the next round will be held together with US envoy Steve Witkoff.”
He continued, “We have reached a point where we have to discuss detailed nuclear negotiations.”
“The talks were limited to removing nuclear issues, sanctions,” he continued.
“There is still a difference between general issues and details,” Araguchi said, adding, “Our optimism is very cautious.”
“Some of our differences are serious, some are not serious. I think the progress we have made has been good. I am pleased with the progress in negotiations. Both sides are serious,” he added.
“I want to make it clear that the topic of negotiation is a nuclear issue and that I will not accept other issues,” the Iranian chief negotiator said.
