Upon arriving at Caracas Airport on Sunday, Gallibaf was officially welcomed by Venezuelan Foreign Minister Ivan Kel Pinto and other senior officials.
Emphasizing a common struggle, he described the “long battle between Iran and Venezuela against global rog arrogance” as an important commonality between the two countries, warning of the danger posed by hegemonic forces.
Tackling the relationship between Tehran-Caracas, Gallibach emphasized that it is more important than ever to strengthen their bilateral relations since Iran and Venezuela shared their allies with both their enemies.
In welcome to Gallibahu, Pinto praised Iran as a guarantor of peace, praised the leadership of the Islamic Republic, overcoming challenges over the past 46 years and resisting US pressure.
“The Iranian enemy has done everything with everything from sanctions to war, but they have failed to achieve their goals,” Pinto argued. “Iran’s victory is considered a victory for Venezuela.”
Following the official reception, the Iranian delegation paid tribute to Simon Bolivar, the leader of the Latin American liberation movement, by visiting his grave.
While signing the Memorial Book, Gallibahu praised Bolivar’s legacy and praised his rebellion against colonialism and his call for enduring independence in the South American region.
