TEHRAN – At the end of Sunday, Iran called the recently test-fired solid-fuel ballistic missile “Qassem Basir” over a 1,200km range, Mehr’s news agency reported.
Iran’s Defense Minister Aziz Nasirzadeh told television nationwide in an interview aired on the 8:30 news programme that the new solid fueled missiles have better maneuverability compared to previous ones and are immune to a variety of air defense systems, such as the THAAD, the Patriots and the Israeli regime.
The related films for the missile test fire aired on Sunday night under the IRIB 20:30 program.
The missile reportedly was test burned on April 17th.
The TV host also said the missile has greater maneuverability after gaining experience from two retaliatory operations last year, known as the true promises to Israel 1 and 2.
The Defense Minister also warned the Americans, “If we are being attacked or war is being imposed on us, we will respond with force.”
“We attack their interests and foundations. We are not reluctant and we see no restrictions in this respect,” stressed General Nasirzadeh.
He added, “We are not enemies of our neighbours, they are our brothers, but the American base in their soil will be our target.”
